THE DODSON BRAIN INJURY STORY, AS TOLD BY ARLYN DODSON:
In 2006, I was a regional manager for a national company. While in San Diego on a business trip I was rear-ended by a large commercial delivery truck. My physical injuries were severe, but the bang my head took in the accident produced permanent changes to my ability to communicate, relate to my wife and children, and do my job. When I returned home to Seattle my wife immediately felt I was like a stranger - not the same man who left home a few days before. The symptoms are still with me, even to this day. When I returned to Seattle, I experienced headaches and had a hard time thinking clearly. I was short-tempered with my wife and kids.
