I am not working because of my injuries. I need money. What can I do?

Many people have Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage on their own automobiles policies.  This coverage pays for wage loss due to injuries that you suffered in an accident.  So, if you are injured and unable to work, look to your own policy first.  If you have PIP coverage (and you should!), the insurance company will compensate you for a portion of your wage loss.

PIP is automatic on all Washington policies, unless you reject the coverage in writing.  Don't reject it!  You may need it!  It can help with your medical bills.  PIP can also help you with expenses you incur for chores around the house that you can't perform yourself anymore, such as lawn mowing, or housekeeping.
